In order to consume https endpoint urls for connect-soap we are requested to add the ip address and url to the host file. What does the the host file corresponds to in Tomcat Server
In order to consume or hit https endpoint urls for connect-soap we are requested to
1. add the ip address and url to the host file.
2. What does the the host file corresponds to in Tomcat Server.?

I guess what you are referring to is not a file in tomcat. It is the hosts file on Windows. You will find it in this location if your windows is installed on C: drive. C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc.

The Hosts file in Windows is located at the following location: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Can you please elborate what you actually intend by local and global? Are you trying to access the hosts file over a network?

Seems the expectation is adding the records to /etc/hosts file which is more at a OS level where the servers are residing
Local means : If we add here C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc , it will facilitate if we try to the open wsdl through the browser
Global means :To facilitate the application users from application while invoking the services.
