we are looking for an approach to migrate rules and data from Oracle to postGRES.

we are on Pega 7.2.2 and using Pega SI 7.11

what is the approach to be taken.

Create target schemas on postgres equivalent to oracle ones(rules and data).

export from rules and data schema from source Oracle and import them onto target postGRES.

amend the application WAS layer data soruces to connect to postGRES instead of Oracle using the appropriate jdbc drivers.

are these steps recommended?

has any other Pega customer undertaken this since the default Pega cloud offering is on postGRES.

any lesson learnt from other customers?

any market tools recommended?

I have gone over all PDN articlerelated to same subject but nothing was concluded with proper solution.

since customer is assessing to move to PEGACLOUD, the customer's first blocker is to understand the implications of moving to postgres from existing oracle DB
