Thanks for posting your query in PSC :)
Refer pzStudioHeaderTools section which uses the search functionality in Designer Studio of Pega 7.3.1. Here, Text input control is used to enter the search text with control format as Primary Search. Button is used displaying the search icon(pi pi-search-2) with control format as Icon light and inline style referring to search-button class.

Actually, the styles you mentioned are very specific to designer studio, which cannot be reused in enduser portals.
I was trying to check if such styling is present OOTB in pyEndUser skin from UI-Kit.

I see that the format Primary Search is available in pyEndUser71 skin rule(Available).
Refer pySearchFieldWorkResponsive section of UI-Kit-7:10-01-01 ruleset. The search control is observed from Case Worker portal.
