Obj-Validate issue on transition step in Activity
I am currently experiencing an issue in an activity where I am trying to handle errors in the transition step (Jump). This step involves the use of the Obj-Validate command, and there is an error occurring in one of the rules defined in the Validate rule that is being used. I can see through the tracer that failure bubbles up from the Validate rule all the way back up to my activity.
When it gets to my activity, the step status is defined as "FAIL" and the step status info contains an error message that is correct for the issue we had. It doesn't appear that either the StepStatusFail check on the transition step or the Exception step are catching the fact that the Obj-Validate step has failed. Due to this, I am not able to intercept it and handle it.
This behavior does not seem consistent with the way other command respond to a transition step check. Are there other options to do this or potentially a HotFix to address it? If not, this will be a large hurdle for me as we are using this particular activity to validate data as part of an automated process ran through an agent.

Have you tried using the hasMessages function for the page the Obj-validate has an error for?
If yes, can you share the screenshot of your activity please.

Hi Bhavya,
I have tried to use hasMessages as well, and am seeing the same result. Additionally, I also tried having the transition always go to my Error step by using the Always When rule, and still did not have any luck.
I have attached a screenshot of the Activity as it is currently configured. I appreciate any input you can provide.

Thanks for sharing the screenshots.
Two things possible here:
1. I think the HasMessages is not getting the correct context of the page that has errors.
2. Just use HasMessages in your transition but like below:
@Default.hasMessages(myStepPage)
or change the "myStepPage" to the page name where Obj-Validate sets an error.
Give it a try and see how it goes.

I believe I have implemented the changes as you've suggested, but I am still seeing the same behavior. I have also attached an updated documents showing the revision and the results in the tracer.

Tried the scenario on my PE, and it works fine as per below configuration:
Not really sure whats going wrong in your case :(.
There is something very minor you are missing and I am not able to figure that with these screenshots.
