Obj-Save and pxUpdateDateTime
Hi,
I have a scenario where a property needs to be updated for all the existing work items in production environment.
This has to be done manually by executing an activity.
The activity uses an Obj-Save to save each work item.
However, we observed that Obj-save doesn't update the pxUpdateDateTime property.
Is it recommended to set the pxUpdate properties explicitly or we should avoid setting the pxUpdate properties ?

When you update properties programmatically, PRPC takes cares of updating the pxUpdate columns and History Table.
However, when you run the obj-save explicitly, only those properties which are updated prior to Obj-Save are sent via the merge/update query triggered on that table.
To keep track of the changes made on the WOs, you can update the pxUpdate columns. Add one more step before the Obj-Save to update the pxUpdate columns as well.
