Non visible checkboxes after upgrade to Pega 8
Hi,
After upgrading from Pega 7 to Pega 8 some checkboxes are not displayed. Visibility is set to always and we can not find any discrepancies from the checkboxes that are working. Have anyone encountered this problem, and if so found a fix? If we delete a non visible checkbox and create a new with the same cell properties then it is displayed. Another way to make it visible is to "Revert to property default". But finding and manually changing each and every checkbox is tedious and might introduce additional errors.

Are the checkboxes used the OOTB pxCheckbox control? Possibly a deprecated control is being used that does not get displayed post upgrade.

Hi, yes we have seen some issues related to checkbox visibility in 8.2.x versions. It has been resolved in 8.2.3

We are using Pega 8.3.1 and the UI Control for the checkbox properties is pxCheckBox.
It turned out that we were using a custom control format (in the tab "Presentation" of the cell properties). This control format somehow hid the caption in Pega 7 but in Pega 8 it hid the entire cell (checkbox and caption). Our fix as of now is to manually change the control format in each and every checkbox to standard.
Have someone else encountered this problem and if so have you found a fix which doesn't require manually changing each and every checkbox? Please see the attached screenshot for information about the custom control format (skin rule).
