No Robots displayed in Robotics Console Version 1 with Pega 7.2.2

Hi!

I am wondering if we need to edit the Interaction.xml file for anything (ie. be able to add robots) ?

I have done all of the following in this post (https://collaborate.pega.com/question/error-receiving-data-pega-microsoft-visual-studio) but when I Launch Robotic Console, there are no robots displayed. Could someone please provide me with a source or steps to creating a robot in Pega?

As well as the link in the topic description. Modifying the interaction.xml file was not required since I only had one project in my automation

I would suggest you use a later version of Pega Robotics along with the latest version of PRPC and Robot Manager as version 1 isn't supported any longer. The link below would get you started.

Basically;

  1. Install Robot Manager in PRPC.
  2. Add required work group(s), work basket(s), and users.
  3. Create case(s) and the case flow(s) to assign the case to a work group and work basket and to trigger the robot activity.
  4. Install and configure Pega Robotics Package Server.
  5. Install Pega Robotics Studio and connect to the Package Server and PRPC instance.
  6. Create your automation in Pega Robotics Studio.
  7. Install and configure Pega Robotics Runtime and connect to the Package Server and PRPC instance.
  8. Create your automation.
  9. Hook up the RobotActivity component to your automation and configure to point to the correct case and case fields.
  10. Deploy the project in Studio.
  11. Assign the package to the work group in Robot Manager.
  12. Launch Runtime and enter the registration credential created in step 2.
  13. Re-launch Runtime and ensure it is configured to be in the correct work group.
