I have reviewed the SR which you have raised earlier with GCS.

I tried to find the implementation details, script and a sample set of data used at your end for automating the testing using Selenium.

Just curious, if you can share the same such that I will try to analyse it to help you.

I spoke to some SMEs here and they are first wondering which browser you are using, as they are very successful with using Chrome, but Firefox and IE can prove unreliable.

They also wished to share the following:

#1 – looks like click happens too fast, need to add some wait before and after – webdriver is faster than dynamic UI generation, even some controls are visible, the document might still be loading and miss the click

#2 – the test execution should wait until the page is finished loading

#3 – there are 3 ways to switch over the elements in frames – by Index, by Name or Id, by web element – you can switch by frame index -  identify the number of frames and provide the frame index, switch to an active frame if needed

#4 – might be a timing issue, add some waits and check if it makes tests more reliable

#5 – are you using auto-generated date time calendar control or custom?

Selenium out of box API could not handle PRPC Ajax page very well. You will need to add your own logic for retrying while page is not responding correctly. We are using selenium based java test script for our CPM implementation and everything is working well with our own ajax retrying handing logic.
