Need information regarding "Cancel" action
Hi All,
I have this one question regarding "Cancel" action that we use in a button or in other UI elements.
Let's say, I am launching one harness from one section(the Section is in one flow action) through a button. Now I am using one button inside that harness where I am using "Cancel" action in order to return to the parent section. The harness I am using is an Overlayed one. So, while I am trying to get back to the parent section by clicking on the Cancel button, I am not being able to get back to the parent section. Instead it's navigating back to somewhere else.
Can anyone please clarify why is this happening and how can i get the desired parent section rule by clicking on the Cancel button.

What you understood is right. But the requirement is to show an harness , not a pop-up window. So by putting "Cancel" action inside a button is not helpful. Please let me know if you need any other info regarding this.

On click of a button if you want to launch a harness then it should give you three options :
1. Pop up window, 2. Replace current and 3. New Window
I dont think you will get overlay option ?
So can you please let us know which one you tried ?
If you are not launching harness and rather launching a local action in overlay mode then clicking CANCEL button should help .
Please check the overlay example given in the UI gallery and observe the behavior.

Cancel or close button will not work here as it will close the entire tab/
Try using custom HTML with code like window.history.back(); if that helps.

You can have a button in the new opened harness and on click of the button using custom script you can redirect back to the parent harness.

Thanks for posting your query to PSC.
As per my understanding you are trying to launch a Harness onclick of a button and that harness contains a cancel action button. So if I am not wrong on click of that cancel button your requirement is to come back to the parent section.
So to achieve that can you make the target of the Harness launched as Pop-up Window as shown in the below screen shot. So that when you click on cancel button of the launched harness, the pop-up window will be closed and so you will return to the work object.
