MS Excel connect to pega

Hi, all

I'd like to know if it is possible to connect MS Excel with pega.

I know import and export is possible by using activity, but I am not sure that connecting MS Excel is ok.

 

The scenario is 

after inputting data in case of pega, these data will go into excel file like external DB because a client has used excel file as data storage and they seems to use it from now and on as well. 

Is it possible ?

Hi Yuki,

It is not possible to directly connect with Microsoft excel from Pega alone. You need to connect using Pega and Pega Robotics. In that case, the data will be passed by Pega to an automation which will write the data to an external excel file using Excel connector. This file can then be consumed by any other applications.
