Move file from one folder to another
Hello All,
I have an requirement to identify the duplicate file & move to duplicate folder in File Listener Processing. Please suggest opt solution for this scenario. Thanks
Requirement :
1) I'm using File listener to Process the file (Say from location X)
2) I have identify the file contains duplicate details & considered the file as duplicate.
3) So, I want to move the file to duplicate Folder (I.e. move from Location X to Location Y)
4) If file is not duplicate it should process & move to Complete folder.

Hi Boopathi,
In the process tab of file listener you have the checkbox "Ignore duplicate file name". It copies the duplicate input file to the work directory and saves it with .dup as the file extension.
You can have another listener running in this directory which will only process .dup extension file and move it to any other folder you want.

Hello Vikas,
Thanks for response. In my case, I couldn't identify duplicate by file name. I have to fetch the data (Say only First line in file I'll get key) from file & decide that it's duplicate or not. So, can you please advice, in this scenario, how can I move the file from one folder to other?

I think you can have an advanced agent to check for duplicate and move those in different folder. Only listen to the unique files via file listener. Doing it via advanced agent would be helpful as you would be able to decide the frequency. Or Job Scheduler :)
