Missing Student Guide for all Pega 8.1 courses
I am planning to undergo training in Pega 8.1 courses such as LSA,BA etc but it seems the "STUDENT GUIDE" pdf files are missing from the academy portal. Earlier the Student Guide pdf files were available along with the exercise guide which makes it earlier to download the pdf and complete the course but now it has become difficult to study the course without Student Guide pdf, so can you please send me all the Student guides for mega platform courses such as LSA,BA,CSA etc.

For PCSA V8 you do the following. Might be same with others.
GO to System architect essentials v8.
Click System architect essentials v8.In that click downloading exercise system. You will find Student Guide there.

Is there a better student guide?

Nope, still just a course presentation outline, little technical information.
Here is what they have posted.

Hi,
At the moment, this is the only Student Guide available for version 8 and we welcome specific feedback on current self-study resources.
As always, we suggest studying with the exercises to get hands-on training.

I am very concerned about the lack of "how to" information in the so-called student guide for SA version 8. I was able to download a real student guide for SSA for version 7, which is helpful. However, I cannot find the SA course for version 7, so I am stuck with a student guide that is pretty useless to me. Like most of my colleagues in corporate IT departments, I do not spend 100 percent of my time on a single platform; that's a quick ticket to the unemployment line and/or living out of a suitcase for months at a time when said IT department decides that a platform is no longer of interest for new applications and existing applications on it are no longer going to receive any updates. A temporary lull in work on the single platform can cause the same thing. I currently work in three other platforms, one of which is being phased out, and Pega will be a fourth for me, so adding a fourth means that I must have a how-to guide available to me for all of them. If Pega is going to be a platform for which only 100 percenters need apply, that will be a major problem for many potential customers, and cost Pega a substantial amount of business.

The format of the 7.x Student Guides is excellent. It mirrors the Online course for content. It allows me to skim/search familiar content to reference information that I was previously exposed to. The added links to PDN topics and Help files in the Student Guide are gold, providing additional specific and detailed information and gives new or unfamiliar developers experience in locating where additional information can be found.
I would like to see the same format with the 8.x Student Guides and future online courses.
