Show-Harness is the OOTB API to present harness.
also, could you please provide some more details on the use case so that we could learn if we can leverage onClick events 'Launch harness'

If you're in javascript already, does that mean you're in an open assignment on some harness already ? So are you asking how to replace the harness for the current assignment, for example from the perform harness to the review harness (which could be useful for unlocking but continuing to view) ?
Or are you asking how to load a new assignment in a new harness ?

use below script to call the harness with activity in the js script file. It works for your requirement.

You can call @baseclass-.Show-Harness activity from your own activity to show the harness.
