JMS 2.0
My customer is upgrading to IBM WebSphere MQ (IBM MQSeries) v9.0. This version utilizes JMS 2.0. Has Pega v7.1.8 been certified with JMS 2.0? Will we need to make any adjustments to our Connector rules to accommodate this upgrade? Environment specifics: PRPC v7.1.8 Websphere 7.0.27 Java 1.6 Upgrading to MQ Series v9.0

Pega does not certify JMS versions, it relies on the vendor (IBM in this case). If you are only using JMS connectors (e.g., connect-jms). You should check the compatibility report from IBM, e.g., http://www-969.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity-reports/report/html/softwareReqsForProduct?deliverableId=1114458462035&osPlatform=AIX. The report appears that for your version of WAS (even WAS Proprietary information hidden does not support MQ 9 - only WAS 9+ support MQ 9), only support MQ up to version 8. Now if you are using MQ connectors (with war deployment), you can probably make it work with the valid MQ 9 client jars.

Thanks. So the short answer is 'It's dependant on proper configuration of the web app server (JVM); make sure to have proper jars for connection.'

In fact, if you only uses JMS connectors, you do not have to deal with jars as they are all coming from OOTB IBM Websphere installation.
