Issue with Re-record the Unit Test Case
Pega 7.2.1
Issue: Getting error: Because the test case’s RuleSet has check-out enabled, you must check out XXXXRule before re-recording it. Click here to Open the Test Case.
Steps to Reproduce:
1 Go to Designer studio>Application>Automated Unit Testing>Automated Unit Tests.
2 Under Show, select Unit Test Cases.
3 Right click any row having "Recorded For" Activity, select "Re-record".
4 Getting error: Because the test case’s RuleSet has check-out enabled, you must check out XXXXRule before re-recording it. Click here to Open the Test Case
5 When I "click here", It will open new window, which shows xml with Delete button. It should show Test case Form or Harness. Show "Inputs" and "Results" and "History" tabs.
Query: How can I check-out the rule? When it is opening in new window, which shows xml with Delete button. It should show Test case Form or Harness. Show "Inputs" and "Results" and "History" tabs.

As per "https://collaborate.pega.com/question/regarding-test-case-activity", it is not supported in Pega 7.2.1 and suggested to take up automation using Pega Unit framework.

Hi , old AUT is deprecated, test case rule forms are not upgraded to work cross browser.
The test case should open in a new window in internet explorer.
Please try the same in IE and let us know if that works.

As I mentioned, we are using Pega 7.2.1
Tried in Edge and IE 10, it is not displaying Test case harness or rule form. It is displaying XML

Hi,
Sorry. Didn't mention the version in my earlier post. Opening of form based ruleforms in new window in IE was supported only till 7.1.10 .
From 7.2 onwards support was removed.

As mentioned in issue, we are using Pega 7.2.1.
We are creating test case from "Test Cases" tab of activity. Designer Studio>Application>Automated Unit Testing>Automated Ubit Tests tab. Right click any test case and click Re-record. We are getting the error as mentioned in the post
What is the solution..........

Additionally, I would like to mention that in order to test an activity in 7.2.1, it can be wrapped using a data page and data page can be tested using PegaUnit.
