Pega Robotics runs on Windows operating systems and cannot run on Android or IOS.

Can you suggest a work around for Mac and iOS users? A virtual machine possibly?

Pega Robotics requires a Windows Operating System (usually Windows 10 is most common), so if you use MacOS, you'd need a VM to run Windows and Pega Robotics in. The applications you'd work with would need to run inside that VM as well.

Hello Claudius,
for mac , I have used Parallels ,( VMware can be used as well )
as long as you are able to create a windows environment with all the pre-requisites it is good.
But it is not advised to develop realtime in this way , as you will face lot of difficulties.
keep sharing your challenges and learnings..

Parallels wouldn't give you the ability to interrogate IOS or Android applications. While you might be able to launch them in a VM, you would not be able to interrogate any of their controls. There is currently no way to interrogate an IOS or Android application.
If you want to run Runtime or Studio on a Mac, Parallels would give you the ability to run a Windows Operating system and therefore install and use Pega Robotics, however the applications would be restricted to running within that Operating System.

Thanks Thomas,
absolutely , Parallels only allow us to use a VM ,
all the execution will be inside the Windows OS, and will be restricted to running within that Operating System.

Thanks everyone for clarification.
take away:
- there is no way to interogate IOS and Andriod application via Pega robotics for now
- in order to use Pega Robotics on Mac, need to install VM and inside that VM pega robotics can be working fine
cheers
