In robotic automation, there are two ways to capture and store the credentials needed to login to an application that is being used by the automation:
a. Credential Store component
b. Assisted Sign On
However, in both situations user needs to enter the login details atleast once.
In our scenario, we have applications that uses Single Sign On (via LDAP/OAuth/WIndows Credentials). The requirement is to validate the user through single sign on and login to these applications. User must not need to enter his/her credentials at all.
Is there any way to achieve this through the current release of Pega Robotics?
If the application logs in automatically without credentials, then it would do so under Pega Robotics as well. If the application requires a user to enter their credentials (even if those credentials are the same as what they entered to login to the machine), Pega Robotics would need someone to enter them into the credential store. It would be a security hole if any application could gain access to a user's password without a user entering it into the application.
