Inherited test methods not working
hey guys,
I was interrogating a web page.There is a control that the user clicks to create a new asset request in the page.I interrogated the control and select the test methods.I couldn't see the performclick method and only when I select the inherited methods only the method appears.When I perform the method, it doesn't getting applied to that control.This is not the first time I experienced this behavior. When I use the method in the automation, it doesn't get applied as well.So I really appreciate if someone can provide cause and answer for this.

This may likely require you to raise an SR with support. Some controls require you to RaiseEvents (OnBlur, OnClick, etc...) to trigger their behavior. In addition, sometimes these events needs to get raised on parent controls as well. Support can assist you with this for your specific control.
If you do open an SR, please record the SR number here for tracking purposes.

This was a menu option that I could add to the favorites section in the website and I was trying to perform the click on one of those items that I added to the favorites section.But after facing this issue I have posted, I was looking for an alternative and found that I don't have to add those menu items to faveriotes at all.They are getting created when the homepage loads and i could perform performClick on any menu item.So I didn't raise a SR and I managed to find an alternative solution
