Implementing Best bets feature in Pega7 autocomplete control

I am working on implementing the Bestbets feature with Autocomplete control.

I have observed that the feature is implemented for the App Explorer in Pega 7, but its deprecated control.

Could any one suggest a way to implement the same with Pega 7 Autocomplete control. I hope some customization is required to implement the Bestbets feature.

According to the SR raised on this post, the resolution was found as:

Please use a best bet (true/False) property in the data source list and only those records for whom the best bet is true will be shown in the best bet list.

Hi

When you configure AutoComplete. you should find a check box " Display Best Bets " which you need to check to avail the feature.

Thanks for the response Sanatanu,

I did the same, but i could not see any difference in results except Other Results header (see below attachment).

Here i have analysed the Autocomplete control used in App Explorer which is storing the class names into pyDeveloper page as best bet in statndard Thread when i select classes in App explorer.

Please let me know the document or link where i can find the implementation details for Pega 7 Autocomplete control. Thanks in advance.

Hi

Thanks for the inputs. I am using 719 and I am not able to see the best bet working in an auto complete.

I believe you have raised an SR already with GCS for further troubleshooting. Please edit this post with the SR number so that the GCS engineers gets all the necessary inputs in hand quickly.

Hi Marissa,

We also have same requirement to show the frequently accessed items in the list to the user in auto complete. We can not set the property in our data model statically for few records only. It should be based on the records user accessed i guess. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Could you provide a detailed explanation may be sample implementation screenshots would help.
