How to do multiselect with AutoComplete Control
We have a requirement that user wants to do multi select from a dropdown. He should enter the first character and the list should be populated just like Auto-Complete does, but requirement is that once he has selected one value, he should be able to enter another character , the list should be generated again in the same box and he should be able to select another value. So all the selected values should be displayed on top.
Any idea ?

To start with,doing multi select with auto complete is not possible. Reason being, when you use auto complete you can map a single value properly and not a page list and thereby you lose the ability to select and store multiple items from the list.
However , the good thing is, we have some excellent alternate design approach that you can leverage to fulfill your requirement.
1. Use "Build a list using auto complete feature" -- It can be used in cases where a user is asked to choose/select more than one options from a list of options. Ideal case can be when a user wants to have a preference list, wherein he/she can create a preference list out of a list of items. You can build a list by clicking on items in a Grid or choosing from an AutoComplete . You can find the example in UI gallery. 2. Use list to list control : ( Note : This can be used only if you are on version 6.3x or prior ) : You can use a list-to-list field to allow a user to make multiple selections from a drop-down list Please refer : https://community.pega.com/sites/default/files/help_v63sp1/Default.htm for details.
