How to use the Signature Capture control
hi,
Could some one tell about using the new signature capture control which is introduced in Version 7.1.7. I have a requirement where the signature captured have to be sent to other application using web service.

Yes Marc, I went thru it. I understand that the signature will be stored as a image in the Case attachments., I have a requirement where we will expose some screens to external users and get their consent whether to proceed further. so we are using the signature capture control and using Directed Web access exposing the screens to the user.
once the user Signs and submits, we have to generate a PDF with the users signature and parallely send the signature to another applicaiton using connect-REST.
So, I am exploring whether this signature capture control can support this requriement.

It is correct that the signature is stored as an image in case attachments. It is possible to generate a PDF and embed the signature. We showcase this on our regular Product Management demo. As far as sending to another application - how are the attachment stored in the system? Are they actually stored in the Pegasystem or are they using CMIS? If they are using Pega, I talked to the Case Mgmt PM and he said it is possible, so this would need to be discussed further with Case Mgmt on how to get attachments out of the system to send out the binary.

Marc and Stephanie, I have a similar requirement to embed signature in pdf document. May i know how to embed signature image in pdf? Or is it possible to get access to the server where it is implemented?
