How to start Webadapter with -inprivate option.
Customer would like to start IE Webadapter with -inprivate option.
We have received recommendation to use Advanced Options of the webadapter and set key
IEOverrideArgs with the following arguments: "-restart -noframemerging -inprivate".
After the start of the webadapter we do see only the default arguments used in process explorer.

Please try with pascal case, i.e. IeOverrideArgs
and the param for private mode is "private" not "inprivate", e.g.: "-restart -noframemerging -private -extoff {0}"
Works fine for me on 8.0.1100.0

Hi Janjerie,
There is no argument property for the web Adapter. As a workaround, you can use windows adapter of IE and pass parameters in "Arguments" property of windows adapter.

Unfortunately that will not allow me to interrogate the web application since ordinary window adapter lacks the features of the Web Adapter.
I have received the following answer from Carlos Lopes from Pega:
You can modify the IE arguments for your web adapter by using the Advance Configurations option in the adapter properties and entering the setting 'IEOverrideArgs'. You will then enter the arguments desired. Plese note that you will need to also include 2 mandatory arguments when you do this, so in your customer's case, they will need to enter "-restart -noframemerging -inprivate" for the Value.
However when examining the process by process explorer I only see the default runtime arguments.

I also see a symbol IE_OVERRIDE_ARGS_KEY in the Web adapter DLL, so I assume there is some option that can be used for this purpose, however I am not sure whether the key I used is the correct one.

Hi,
When i used this approach its open private window, but Start page value not open as expected.
Its open default browser URL (e.g: IE opens bing.com and in search bar start page URL loaded)
