How to start and stop an automation based on processes running in the background

Hi All,

For my project, I have to start an automation flow based on the status of a process activity running in the background. I tried to interrogate the Windows Task Manager to identify the process status. But seems Openspan would not support it. Is there any way to achieve this ? Your suggestions are highly appreciated.

Hi,

Could you provide more details on what exactly you need to understand about a process to launch an automation?

You can create script that uses System.Diagnostic.Process class to get process status and launch it periodically with Timer.

Thanks a lot.  Will try the same.  My intent is to verify whether QTP process is launched or not.  I need to trigger QTP vb script file from Openspan.  QTP is a test automation tool
