How to send user defined metadata to S3?
Hi,
Greetings. We have a requirement to send additional metadata along with a file to AWS S3, i did my creating a pagelist Metadata in Embed-Repository-File and belongs to Embed-Repository-Metadata class (created this class) and then a Name, Value properties within this new class, I can see this within D_pxNewFile but when querying the uploaded object i could not see the metadata. Can someone advise if something has been missed in this implementation?

To send custom metadata to S3 from Pega, you can create a pagelist property named Metadata of type Embed-Repository-Metadata inside Embed-Repository-File. In this class, define two properties: Name and Value, and set them with the metadata key and value you want to send. Make sure the metadata keys start with x-amz-meta- as required by AWS S3 for user-defined metadata. Add this metadata to the D_pxNewFile page before uploading the file using the repository API. After upload, check if the metadata appears in S3 by querying the object properties. If it doesn’t show up, verify that the repository rule is correctly configured to support metadata, and that the metadata is being sent before the actual upload call
