How to send an text message to phone

Hi there,

Could you please tell me how to send an text message to Phone?

I have used the Create Email shape and then attached the correspondence rule type as "PhoneText".

where do i give the number to which the text message should go to?

or are there any default activities which can send correspondence to phone as text?

Please suggest.

Hi kurt,

I did use the activity "SendEmailNotification" and the To address as the mobilenumber@vendorsmsgateway and it is a success.

though it doesn't work at my location "INDIA". i tried with the mobile numbers of  Sprint and AT&T mobile.

Full disclosure: I've never attempted this myself.  I did, however, find the below PDN articles that sound like they may be of help:

The 2nd link is a bit older, but the concepts seem to align (for the most part) with what's discussed in the first link.
