How to Run the Pega Marketing Setup Utility for Personal edition
I am unable to create a valid database.properties file for Running the Pega Marketing Setup Utility while adding Marketing build to Personal Edition 7.4
I have imported the Jar files and struck with this.
Any help is appreciated.
I need to understand what will be the db properties for localhost.

Hi,
Thanks for the brief explaination.
While I run 'conn sys as dba\orcl', I am getting ORA-12560: TNS: protocol adapter error.
Can you help overcoming this.

I should have made it more clear.
The below part is how i connect to my database.
Command Prompt> sqlplus /nolog
orcl is my password, you would need to find your sysdba password
conn sys as sysdba\orcl
connected..
So in short the below two statement allows my administrator access, so that i can go ahead and create marketing schema(ExternalMKTData)

Command Prompt> sqlplus /nolog

Now the below statements are trying to create schema and user (note this is oracle db)
create tablespace ExternalMKTData logging datafile 'C:\app\sheks\oradata\orcl\ExternalMKTData.dbf' size 100M autoextend on next 1280K maxsize unlimited extent management local segment space management auto;
create user ExternalMKTData identified by ExternalMKTData default tablespace ExternalMKTData quota unlimited on ExternalMKTData;
Below I am giving grants to the user
GRANT CONNECT,RESOURCE TO ExternalMKTData;
GRANT Create view to ExternalMKTData;
So the process is this:
1. Login in to DB as a super user
2. Create marketing schema and user
3. Give the grants.
