How to restrict user to have only one active session in a Multi node env
My application is in 7.1.8 and no plans for 7.2 upgrade.
We have a use case to restrict the user to have one active session and should not allow user to login multiple times.
We are using basic authentication and no LDAP or IDM for authentication. Is there any way to check whether user has a session open before logging in.

Hi Sai, as you may have seen, Pega does provide a solution for multi node, but only in the latest version 7.3: https://pdn.pega.com/release-note/improve-cluster-security-limiting-concurrent-operator-sessions. Hopefully others who have developed solutions in prior versions can assist you with 7.1.8

I have searched our PegaSupport database and have seen this same request made over and over; that's probably the impetus behind the solution being incorporated into the 7.3 product. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, there does not appear to be a single customer who was successful in implementing this in a lower product version.
I do see one customer back in 2016 who appears to have engaged Pega Consulting to implement this. If you wish, I can try to determine if they were successful in achieving their goal. Be aware that if they were, the best I could do would be to offer you the same option of having Pega Consulting (in a fee-based interaction) build the same for you.
