How to Refresh the whole work object after submitting the modal window?
Hi,
I have one requirement that i need to parse one PDF and after parsing user can see the parsed data. I have added one button and luanch the flow action in modal window. Also i have added one second action to launch harness and replace the current one. I am facing one strange issue if that property is reand only in the section then it works perfect but if its editable then that property value is not reflecting. I have this button for 3 sections so it is not possible to use refresh other section. I ran the tacer and found that "pzTransformAndRun" activity creates the problem. Can anyone help me to solve this issue?
Note: I am using PRPC 6.2

Hi,
I have checked lots of places and it seems like pega's normal behavior to resubmit the parent window. That's create the issue for editable fields. I have to modify the control to slove this issue. Thanks for your input.

Hi Sudipta,
when it is editable and you are seeing wrong value, what is the value present in clipboard ?
Also, I think when you parse the data and map it to the property, doing a save or commit operation via activity might help as well.

Thanks for your reply. I have commited the value in post activity. When i am closing the work object manually and reopen it again it shows the parsed data. So that means values are commited to DB but the current clipboad value is not refreshed. Strange thing is that if that property is read only then parsed data is showing in the screen but if it is editable then parsed data is not reflected. It always shows the current value present in the screen and the main problem is with pzTransformAndRun activity. It's final so i can't modify this also it is getting called form a script. I don't think modifying this would be a good solution. Is there any other way to implement this scenario in PRPC?

Hi Sudipta,
Let me try to understand your design properly.
1. You have a screen and have some button
2. Using the button you are launchign a modal
3. In the same button you have action "Launch Harness and replace current one .
Suggestion :
Instead of using : Launch Harness and Replace Current one, can you try only "Refresh section "and specify the section that contains the field. Refer this article : https://community.pega.com/support/support-articles/need-refresh-section-after-submiting-modal-window

Hi Santanu,
Yes you are right. I am using one screen flow and this button is available through out the screen flow. In pega 6.2 there is no option to refresh the harness. As there is no such particular section i am unable to use that option.

Where is your properties getting displayed ? Section level I believe !
Try to check the section involved there and use the suggestion given here :https://docs-previous.pega.com/how-refresh-any-section-user-form-using-click-action-control to refresh it via modal.
