How to make a checkbox preselected(checked by default) ?

How can i make a checkbox preselected i.e it should be checked by default?

Are you using OOTB checkbox control ? Can you provide the cell properties screenshot ?

Maybe you can try clearing the browser cache and restart the browser or try giving true without quotes for default property.
