How to integrate Pega with Active Directory
Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to fetch data from Active Directory by passing (FirstName,LastName and EmployeeID) as search criteria and fetch the matching results.
Are there any OOTB rules through I can directly interact with Active Driectory like interacting with Database?
Need suggestions on how to achieve this scenario.
Pega version used is PRPC 7.1.9

I dont think there is any OOTB rule but we can use the pega authentication api to do this, just a thought.
In authentication service, we hit ldap to get the credentials. may be somehow we can manipulate to retrieve the data. But again this is security. Generally we query username and password and then we query rest of the details. I dont know how you are going to use it?

AD normally provides a lot of REST APIs. You can use Pega connect-REST to interact with AD from Pega through REST calls, this is a common approach in the software industry.

Using authentication service in pega, we can integrate with Azure AD through SAML method.Below link for referene,

Method 2: Using OpenID connect we can able to acheive SSO
Method 3: Do REST calls to Microsoft Graph API and generate the token, pass the token to other API to get user information from Azure AD.
