How to install UDF's in an Amazon RDS -PostgreSQL instance?

We are in process of migrating from On-Premise MySQL Database to the Amazon RDS -PostgreSQL instance. As part of the database setup, UDF's script provided with the media file of Pega 74 is getting failed with the error. Got to know that the Amazon RDS doesn't allow UDF's because of the security.

Is there any workaround to overcome this and please provide the detailed steps.

Got a confirmation from PEGA, that UDF functionality is optional and it is required in case to use the properties that are not optimized [SR-C61814] in reports. 

So, the Pega recommendation to use the UDF's in RDS is using PL/V8 scripts. These are not provided as part of the media file. Need to check with your respective Pega account administrator.

Hi ,

Please look on following post. There is information about UDF in Postgres. 

Basically "Amazon RDS service does not allow installation of user-defined functions (UDFs).Because we do not have access to the operating system which is required to add PL/Java to PostgreSQL, we cannot install traditional UDFs on Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL)."

Please guide me with steps required to install pega schemas on Amazon RDS Postgres. I  understand from above discussion that UDF support is not manadatory for pega installation. I am trying to install pega application on eks and pega database on amazon rds postgres
