How to download sharepoint list into excel file in xlsx format

Hi ,

We have requirement to download data from sharepoint list into excel format. We are able to download it in .iqy format(Microsoft excel web query file). But how to change the file format to xlsx and read the data.

Not sure if this helps, but I have used Microsoft Flow (now Power Automate) to create a .csv from a SharePoint list, which can be an easier format to use, this is then emailed out. Mine runs on a scheduled basis, but this could also be called via any other start method that Flow accepts.

The alternative would be to automate the opening of the .iqy within excel then save as (F12) .xlsx  Although I have not tried this type of automation yet within PEGA (new to platform).
