How do you prepare for an upgrade where the base application in lower version has application level changes.
How do you approach an upgrade when An application is in version 7 is being upgraded to version 8 and after the freeze and skim of rules and during the migration phase if there is a Change Request or new rule changes in Application Layer or framework layer of version 7? How do you plan to tackle if there is such an issue?

If the application is upgraded to 8 and freezing and skimming is already done then the requirement that comes post that should be incorporated on 8. Once your rulebase is upgraded there is no point talking about older rulebase of 7 .
