I have a requirement, where when the SLA expires, at the deadline, when no action is performed, the case goes to the rejection stage and the case gets closed with a different status.So i configured the SLA and the deadline action i have given the Advance flow and update status activity. but both are not fired. Please let me know if i am missing anything or how to fix the problem. Thank you.

Instead of advance flow, call pxChangeStage activity with parameter as "Rejection" stage and check CleanUpProcess. In your Rejection stage either you call activity UpdateStatus with Resolved-Rejceted status or directly set status on End shape.
Also make sure Rejection stage is marked as resolution stage, so that process ends.
