How to Customize OOTB views in Constellation
I have a scenario where I need to provide my app users with a "Transfer Assignment" local action. I see that Pega has a OOTB local action in Constellation. My app needs are slightly different from the OOTB configured view, say I only need functionality to transfer to another user. I am looking for a way to modify the OOTB one instead of creating my own but the "Configure View" button in app studio for this location action is disabled.
What's Pega recommended approach here for a situation like this. Similar use cases can be cancel case, change stage, add an attachment etc.

Authoring views for OOTB views directly in optional actions is not available.
You can add "TransferAssignment" action in any one of the steps in the case type and configure the view. This will allow the view to be saved in your work class. Once that is done , you can remove this action from the case step.
Now you can edit the view via UX tab in case type and the same will be referred in the optional actions.
Similar process can be followed for other OOTB local actions.

@Aditi Mehta - Thank you Aditi for your suggested approach. I see few challenges when I tried to do it.
I tried it with OOTB flow action "pyTransferAssignment" in work class.
After saving this as a step, when I tried to work on the view I notice that the view is tightly aligned to few fields which are not there in my case type and I don't have a way to access them in app studio.
So, I dropped on the idea of tailoring it to use for my project specific needs.
Also, for some of the common use case like transfer of ownership (pyTransferCaseOwnership), there is no view based flow action available as of Pega 24.2
Overall, its taking us more time in Constellation to build things than it used to be Theme-cosmos so far.

I recommend building your custom views based on your requirements for the Option actions.
