How to check the outcome of the call pxCreateTopCase

Currently I check the outcome of my call pxCreateTopCase by checking StepStatusGood. Unfortunately this often results in an error where, when checked afterwards, the new case has been created. 

 

Is there a better way to check whether pxCreateTopCase was executed?

@MarcLasserre_GCS As I call it from an activity, I want to make sure it went well in order to decide to proceed with my activities or to return an error on screen and abandon.

 

If I get it right, I could do the "errorhandling" by checking the hasMessages.
