How can we use, Temporary Object option for the flows other than pyStartCase ?

I have created a case type AccountCreation and it has pyStartCase has starting processes. In the process tab of pyStartCase, checked the Temporary Object.
I have added StageOne to the AccountCreation case type in case lifecycle and a step to that stage. Then added Persist case smart shape to the StageOne_Process0. Please, refer the screenshots.
In the process tab of StageOne_Process0(flow), whats the use of Temporary Object check box. As checking/unchecking it, there is no difference in creation of workobject.

Yeah!!. If it encounters persist smart shape, then a workobject is created and committed to database.
If in starting flow, we checked the Temporary Object checkbox.
My question is, can we use in any other way -- Temporary Object option present in the subsequent flows(that are executed after the first flow or may be starting flow invokes the sub flow).
As when I checked the Temporary Object checkbox in starting flow, checking or unchecking the Temporary Object option in subsequent flows is not making any difference. It means, workobject is getting created only after it encounters persist smart shape, but not on the subflows it reached(if we uncheck the Temporary Object checkbox in subflows).
Just asking, as this info is not present anywhere. Just to make most use of it.

I imagine it's pretty useful for duplicate checking if you don't want a vast backlog of work objects with a "Resolved-Duplicate" status.

A temporary case is created and resolved by a single operator, or by straight-through processing, and is not saved as a database object. You can use temporary cases in screen flows and regular flows.
To create a temporary case, select the Creates temporary object? check box on the flow that creates the object.
