There is a checkbox in the Admin Studio which gives Administrator control whether URL pointing to the app binary requires authentication or not. On non-development enviroments it defaults to `true` (authentication required).

You can find under the `Mobile` tab of the Admin Studio, name of the checkbox - `Require login for mobile app download`.

You were redirected to the GE SSO most likely because it was the only one currently enabled `Authentication Service` on that system. If you would want to authorize using Pega-internal operators - please consider enabling `Platform Authentication` auth service (available ootb on every system).
