Please review the VM User Guide for details on how to successfully download the VM.
An .ova is a single file that should not be extracted - unzipped. You import the .ova file as-is into VMware Player. The VM User Guide has the details you need.
Let me know how you get along.

Hi Eddy,
Thanks for your reply.
I have downloaded the zip , after extracting it , we will get the .ova file . I am not extracting the ova file.
Please let me know if you need any more details

The VM file you download is not a .zip file. The file type is .ova.
And, remember, there is nothing to extract. You import the .ova file to VMware. If you do attempt to extract the archive, you will only see a .ovf file and a .vmdk file. Neither of those files can be used to run the VM.
Again, when you download the VM file, ensure you save the file with the extension of .ova

Hi Eddie,
The downloaded file type is LSA_731_VM_20171026.tar TAR type.
Let me know if i can change the type.

I have the same question, where I am trying to "import" the virtual machine into vmware player and getting an error saying that the .ovf file does not match the manifest. Please let me know how to fix this. Thank you!

Hi Eddie,
Thanks a lot for quick responses. saved the file now to ova type and still it was unable to open from VMware player.
Downloaded the oracle VM virtual box and tried importing the file there and it worked.
Thanks a lot
