Generating and Viewing PDF
Hi,
I need help in troubleshooting the issue I am facing in generating a PDF from section.
Below are the steps I followed:
1. Created a section based on the requirement which includes Dynamic Layouts with text Inputs and Grid
2. Created an HTML rule to include this section as in attached Screenshot_1
3. Created an Activity - PrintPDF - in which I passed the HTML rule name as HTMLStream parameter to OOTB activity pyViewAsPDF. Refer Screenshot_2.
4. Called the PrintPDF activity on click of the Link control.
This is getting executed without any errors but I am not able to see the PDF generated. Could you please help to resolve this as soon as possible.

On click of link are you running activity?
Can you try 'open url in window' action, with this activity as pre processing and check if it works.

Hi,
In addition to the details mentioned above, I just found that the PDF is getting downloaded if I execute the 'PrintPDF' activity directly but not upon clicking on Link where the same activity is invoked. Please help to troubleshoot.

Thank you. Yes, I tried this yesterday based on the comments in below post and it worked.

But now the issue I am facing is that the PDF generated doesn't contain any layout format which I added in the Section. It has got just a dump of data. Do you have any suggestions to resolve this?
