The Engine API, Database Interface contains a getDataUniqueID(String aOrganisation, String aPrefix, String aSuffix ) that you could wrap a function around.

As an addendum to this, the function is marked internal so won't be searchable or selectable from the expression builder.

The full notation would be @Utilities.pzGenerateUniqueID(tools, "Prefix")
