Externalization of Elasticsearch - Pega 8.8 VM deployment

Hi

I had a question on the externalization of elasticsearch services for Pega v .8.8.

The documentation in the community points to the use of SRS as an intermediary service between Pega Platform and external Elasticsearch.

We are using VM based deployments today and dont have a containerized set up at all. How are we going to use the SRS service in that case?

 

Does installing the pega provided docker image on a VM work in this regard? OR do we need to have a containerized setup for installing the same.

Hi 

Did you find any insight or information on your query so far? Because I'm also confused on how to setup srs in VM based deployments. 

I have gone through plenty of pega's documents but couldn't figure out on the same.
