External Assignment - You lack access required
Hi,
We are trying to implement DWA for one of our use cases. I think I have set up everything correctly, like specifying the External Work Party, modifying the EngageExternalQuick flow, and specifying a custom External operator. However, once the email is sent and the external user opens it and enter some Notes, then click Submit I get the following error:
Error: You lack access required to execute RULE-OBJ-ACTIVITY CODE-PEGA-LIST PXCASEBREADCRUMBPOPULATE #20190430T225400.116 GMT.
When you open the activity pxCaseBreadCrumbPopulate (Work-) it has "Require authentication to run" enabled and since the activity is Final, I don't think is a good idea to override it...

I think DWA is used to let external user runs a very simple task. You should have limitations because this user isn't a proper authorized operator.
I don't think such user should be running pxCaseBreadCrumbPopulate. You could eventually create your own custom version but be careful with security.

Currently, I'm doing a POC using the default rules like the PerformExternal harness, so I didn't explicitly call activity pxCaseBreadCrumbPopulate. I noticed this activity is D_CaseBreadCrumb data source, and this Data page is being called by some sections like Work- pxCaseHeader, Rule- pxRuleHeader, etc. Also noticed this Data page is stored in Cosmos Ruleset (Theme-Cosmos:01-01-01), so I wonder if this issue only affects Cosmos applications.

@josenavas Generally when we configure assignment as External we will be specifying Operator of Type External. This Operator should be pointing to the Access Group of the Application. When the assignment is posted as an E-mail to the user post actions that are submitted will be executed in the context of the operator ID that is specified on the assignment.
Can you please check the Access Group of the Operator that is mentioned on the assignment and whether that access group is pointing to the Application which has the proper rule sets (for instance rule set in which the activity is created).
