Export an attachment and send it througth ftp

Hi

I have two question:

1. Is it possible to export an attachment to a specific local path?

2. is it possible to send an attachment to an external location using Connect-FTP method?

But the approach works to send a local file, I need to send an attachment throught ftp, so I think, first, I need to export the attachment to a local path and after that send it, the remain question is how can I export an attachment to a local path?
