Exception when trying to Map XML data in Literal XML mode

I get the below error when trying to map data from XML file using Parse XML rule with mode set to Literal XML, the mapping is working in Standard mode, do we have to make any changes(to the source data or the destination property) when using Literal XML mode.

com.pega.pegarules.pub.PRException: Failed to parse XML. Error: Parse XML runtime failed.PRRuntimeException

Can you pls share what data is coming for that attribute?

As per definition: Literal XML — Convert the XML content of an element, including its tag, attributes, character data, and/or child element content to a string and then set it as the value of the specified Property.
