Exception after server crash on new host. No HA

When we kill the host that user is on and user clicks anywhere, an exception is being thrown and a new requestor session is getting created on new active node. This could be because of clipboard being stale. However, we would just want SSO to kick in and refresh the browser (its ok if the non persisted user data is lost).
Can anyone please tell me how this an be achieved

Thanks for the response. However, my question is more related to server crash rather than planned maintenance. If there is planned maintenance, I agree we can passivate the users and quiesce the node.
so in case of server crash, new requestor session is getting created on the active host when user clicks something. However we are also seeing an exception on active node - rule not found. This is especially true in case of navigation menu. (pzGetMenu)
Click on anything that opens up in a new tab or window - works fine. No exception. (Example: Clipboard opens in new window - this is fine)
