Error while moving a rule(Updated in same version)(already present rule in target environment) to a target environment
Hi,
In Development server, I have one Ruleset named as ABCWork and version is 01-01-01 In that version, I have created one Decision Table. I have created one product and included that ruleset.
By using OOTB Product Migration wizard, I'm have moved that product to SIT environment.
Now, I have done changes again to the Decision Table in the same version (i.e. 01-01-01) and trying to move the changed rule to the target SIT environment using same OOTB Product Migration wizard.
But this time I'm getting error like - "database save using an insert failed".
Is there any way to override the already present rule in the target SIT environment? That is instead of using INSERT command, UPDATE command is being used while moving a aready present rule in the target SIT environment.

I do not know why your way is not working, but I often do a similar thing, so perhaps you'd like to try my way:
1) Make a product rule. specify your rule-application in the product rule, where the rule-application contains ABCWork:01-01-01.
2) Save product rule and create zip file by clicking "create product" button.
3) Import the zip to your SIT environment with the landing page "designer studio - > application - > distribution - > import".

Hi,
Thanks for the response. I have also verified the same and it's working fine.
But the issue is, when I'm trying to move the Product using Product Migration Wizard, that time I'm getting the said Error. And it's reproducible all the time.

PRPC Version 6.2 SP1.
Actually I can't copy the stack trace here directly due to some other restriction. But what I say from the log that, Pega is trying to INSERT the data instead of UPDATE and that's why it's throwing the error.
