Error pxAddChildWork in course System Architect 7.2
I'm experiencing an error 'pxAddChildWork: the class of the child work object is not specified'.
It concerns the communication between a Parent Case (Onboarding) and Child Case (Benefits Enrollment).
In a similar question the resolution was:
"Recreate the target class for the declare-index rule."
Since I'm just a learner and not a Developer, I don't know how to do this.
Can you help me with this ?

Delete the "Select Benefits" Process step in the "Onboarding" case type. Save the case type.
Re-create the "Select Benefits" process step as indicated in the exercise guide or self study course.
Save and refresh both the "Onboarding" case type and the benefits enrollment case type just to be safe.
Re-run the "Onboarding" case type again and the "Confirm Employee Details" form for the "Benefits Enrollment" case will open after approving the onboarding case.

Could you please elaborate how you are creating the child WO. What is the steppage provided to pxAddChildWork activity.
If you are you using 'Create Case(s)' smart shape, pass the parameters properly.
You may use 'AddCoveredWork' OOTB activity. Create and populate a new work object page, use 'createWorkPage' OOTB activity and then use the page as the primary page to call 'AddCoveredWork' activity.

Quick question, have you mentioned the child class in the coverable work types of parent work object case type rule.
It is also a good idea to trace the sequence of events and see where exactly the failure is occuring and how ?

Hi Flip,
It is very easy to create the child case with the create case smart shape, make sure that all the conditions are matching and the proper case is giving which belongs to the parent type class.
