Enable DevStudio for Business Analysts
We have requirement that need to be implemented allowing Marketing Analyst to access specific rules only, inside Dev Studio. Currently, our configuration on the Access Group allow them only to navigate through App Studio, and a few rules are not available there, such as activity and data transforms.
The rule types we need them to be able to change are:
Rule-Decision-DDF
Rule-Decision-EventStrategy
Rule-Declare-Pages
Rule-Obj-Activity
Rule-Obj-When
Rule-Obj-Flow
Rule-Obj-Model
Rule-Obj-Property
Rule-Map-Structured
Attempted Solutions
- Adding the Developer Portal to the access group, but this gives much more options than we want them to have.
- Change the privilege settings on the roles.

I am curios to know why would a business analyst be editing some of these rules which seems to be too technical. Could you please explain the requirement behind the need?

Our business analysts are skilled enough to be able to change some of these rules, and it was agreed we both teams, technical and business, that they could do this kind of change and meanwhile the technical would focus on more specific aspects.
The issue is that we want to make a version of the Dev Studio that access and edit those rules normally, but shouldnt open things like Export/Import Wizard, Decisioning, and things on the SysAdmin menu.

Hey Marcelo,
If your business teams are happy updating activities then perhaps you don't need to limit DevStudio!
I believe map values are supported. If you need them to edit activities I am not sure I can help with that.

Are there specific reasons why rule delegation does not fit this need? What rule options are needed by these analysts that rule delegation does not offer?
