Eliminate Repeating Values in a Data Page Column which is a data source for a Auto Complete cell property
Hi Guys,
I am new to Pega. If possible please provide elaborate suggestion.
Issue: I am using a Data Page as data source for a Auto Complete Cell Property. That Column have repeating values which I don't want to see when using the auto complete.

You can use initial Data Page with Report as Source and add a Param asking "RemoveDuplicates" to the Data Page. Now have a Response Data transfrom in Data Page and send params to that Data Transform. So based on Param you can add step to call function @RemoveDuplicatesFromPageList(Primary,"pxResults","DuplicateProperty"). This will make you create only one data page and have it reusable based on passing boolean pram RemoveDuplicates.

What is the data source of the data page that you are using ?
If it is a report definition then enable "Remove Duplicate rows" checkbox in the Query tab.

If Data Source is Report, plz follow whatever suggested by mounika.
If Data Source is Activity, you can have a pre condition to check if the value already exists, if yes skip adding, if no you can add.
If Data Source is Data transform, please follow same as activity.

Data page source is Report Definition.
In the Report Definition it has multiple columns "Remove Duplicate rows" is not working. I don't want to make changes in the existing Data Page. So I created a New Data Page with Activity as a Source. In the activity I used @removeDuplicatesFromList(PageListName, "PropertyName", "ClassName"); for removing duplicates in the New Data Page column. I used this New Data Page as source to the Auto Complete.
If there is any other better approach. Please let me know. I am looking into obj-filter too.
